FAQs
Everything You Need to Know
We know that choosing the right early learning centre is a big decision. To help make things easier, we’ve answered some of the questions we’re most often asked by new families.
If you’d like to know anything else, please get in touch – we’re always happy to chat.
What ages do you cater for?
We provide quality care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, across two programs – 0–3 years and Preschool age.
What are your opening hours?
We’re open Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6pm, for 50 weeks each year.
The centre closes for two weeks over Christmas and on public holidays.
How do I enrol my child?
You can start by joining our Waitlist online or contacting us directly.
Once a position is available, we’ll guide you through the enrolment process and provide all required forms and orientation details.
A $60 non-refundable enrolment deposit is required to secure your child’s place.
Do you offer Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?
Yes. Manilla Early Learning is an approved service under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system.
Families can apply through myGov or the Family Assistance Office to determine their eligibility.
What should I bring each day?
We ask families to pack:
- A wide-brim hat
- Cot sheets for rest time
- Healthy meals and snacks for the day
- A drink bottle of water
- Spare clothes
- Nappies and comfort items (if needed)
Please label all belongings clearly.
What do the daily routines look like?
Each room follows a flexible routine based on the needs and ages of the children.
Days include a mix of play-based learning, rest time, outdoor play, and group experiences, all designed to support your child’s wellbeing and development.
Can I visit or stay during drop-off?
Absolutely. We have an open-door policy and encourage families to spend time settling their child each morning.
We understand that transitions take time and we work closely with parents to make drop-offs as calm and positive as possible.
What happens if my child is unwell?
To keep everyone safe and healthy, we follow NSW Health and Staying Healthy in Childcare guidelines.
Children who are unwell or showing symptoms of contagious illness should stay home until they’re well enough to participate in the day’s activities.
How do you communicate with families?
We use the OWNA app to share daily updates, photos, and information about your child’s learning.
We also value open, in-person conversations – you’re always welcome to speak directly with your child’s educators or the Director.
